Main Characters
Ammy
Amariel is the empathetic heart and moral compass of the destined party. Often soft-spoken and possessing a deep well of kindness, she is driven by an innate desire to protect the vulnerable and those who cannot fight for themselves. Though she can be prone to nervousness, her compassion frequently overrides her fears, leading her to advocate for the most ethical path forward in any given situation.
In combat, Ammy is a versatile practitioner of both restorative and primal transformation. She balances her roles as healer and fighter, making her an adaptable asset on the battlefield.
Above all, Ammy strives for freedom. Free from want or fear. Beneath her gentle exterior lies the weight of a mysterious past, a burden that fuels her wandering life as a Seeker while she searches for safety and a sense of belonging among her newfound companions.
Barthrum
Being the ever so quiet and reclusive one, Barthrum is arguably the most curious member of the party. Hailing from Ironstone Fortress, the small nation of dwarves that covet their culture and their actions within the Fortress with the utmost secrecy, Barthrum would rather keep to himself than try and mingle with others. A good drink, a comfy bed at a reasonable hour, and maybe a good brawl once in a while is all Barthrum really wants.
Barthrum is an exceptional fighter who serves as one of the party's main frontliners alongside, much to his distress, Vee. With what little that he is willing to share with the group, Barthrum defended his home valiantly against Underdark attackers, mostly Drow, for the majority of his life. A master of many weapons with an iron will and steeled determination.
Though he travels with the party to thwart the forces of evil and defend Eissentam, Barthrum displays guarded behavior and is often doubtful about the sincerity or goodness of others, and unfortunately the party's anarchic nature does little to quell his mistrust. Despite his flaws, one would be a fool to dismiss his combat expertise and power that he brings to the table. During the heat of battle, the party is lucky to have him on their side.
Lorkan
The steady and observant member of the adventuring party, Lorkan often acts as the grounded counterbalance to his more impulsive companions. With keen interests for history and literature, Lorkan often carries himself with a quiet, scholarly dignity, but has no qualms over manipulating their chaos when boredom gets the better of him.
When facing danger, Lorkan is far more than a mere historian. He is a level-headed tactician who prefers a plan over a blind charge. When diplomacy fails or danger is imminent, however, Lorkan is a fearless combatant who wields his spear decisively. His background as a soldier, with mysterious ties to the Jurgen Empire, is a testament to his courage.Though his record for pulling through battles is questionable at best, always standing his ground in fights he can't win, Lorkan is a soldier at heart who understands that hesitation means death. He is willing to lead, and if necessary, to sacrifice himself.
Within the party dynamic, Lorkan stands as a pillar of support. While he doesn't possess a fiery aggression or an unwavering optimism, his presence provides a strange yet necessary sense of stability.
He's the guy who listens while others argue, the one who notices details while carefully choosing his words, and the voice of reason that keeps the party from spiraling into total anarchy.
Phi
Phithra, whose sometimes cynical but oftentimes zany exterior, masks a complex history of survival and betrayal. A former Captain within the militaristic Leonian Army, Phi defected after witnessing the inherent cruelty of the regime and suffering of her family and the people that the nation subjugated. This transition from soldier to mercenary has left her with a pragmatic worldview and a deep-seated hatred for tyranny.
Serving as the party's rogue, Phi excels in efficiency and stealth. Her training as both soldier and mercenary makes her an excellent scout, though Phi often keeps her observations and suspicions to herself until she is certain of whom she can trust.
Despite her frequent grumbling about her "clashing" party members, a fierce, unspoken loyalty defines her character. Phi is decisively ruthless and recklessly headstrong, and would do anything to protect those who she has come to care for.
Phi travels not for glory, but to thwart the same type of tyranny that once destroyed her home, proving that in her heart exists a girl who still fights with all she can for those who cannot fight for themselves.
Vee
Viera is a lethal and disciplined warrior whose life is governed by a rigid adherence to the tenets of Redemios. As a Drou operating far from her roots, she carries herself with a stoic and often cold pragmatism that can put her at odds with more idealistic or emotional companions. Vee views her actions not as personal choices, but as the fulfillment of divine mandates, often acting as a silent and efficient instrument of her temple's will.
On the frontlines, Vee is a terrifyingly efficient combatant who favors precision and speed to eliminate targets with clinical detachment. While she maintains a distant exterior and values results over sentiment, she occasionally reveals a sharp, dry sense of humor that cuts through the tension of travel. Her journey is defined by the friction between her uncompromising devotion to her religious duties and the growing, complicated bonds she forms with the others that she now fights alongside.
